The Machado Method curriculum.
Who teaches it
You own a jiu-jitsu academy.
You want every class to come from one curriculum, not from whatever someone remembers that week.
You run a taekwondo, karate or other school.
Your students want jiu-jitsu, and you want it taught properly under your own roof, next to the classes you already teach.
You teach kids as well as adults.
The youth tracks are their own curriculum, grouped by age.
Classes built from seminars, videos and memory
You may be building your jiu-jitsu from a seminar here, a saved video there, and what you remember. So next week's classes get planned the night before. A student asks a question nobody on the mat can answer, and there's no one to call.
How members teach it
-
Step 1
The month's lessons open.
New Gi and No-Gi video lessons appear in the members' area. Your instructors log in there, not on this website.
-
Step 2
Your instructors teach them in order.
-
Step 3
You set the schedule.
You decide which nights run Gi, which run No-Gi and when the kids train. Your schedule, your pricing and your academy name stay yours.
-
Step 4
You bring questions to Master Carlos.
Write down what came up on the mat and ask him on the weekly live call.
-
Step 5
Students are evaluated when they're ready.
Send them to rank evaluation for the next belt. If they aren't there yet, the result is Not Ready, with feedback on what to work on.

Questions owners ask about the curriculum
What's in the Machado Method jiu-jitsu curriculum?
Four tracks: Adult Gi, Adult No-Gi, Youth Gi and Youth No-Gi. New lessons open every month. Members also get Self-Defense Fundamentals, 30 weeks and 90 lessons.
How many lessons come each month?
It changes by month and by track. October 2026 carries 11 Gi lessons and 11 No-Gi lessons.
Is the youth curriculum different from the adult one?
Yes. Youth Gi and Youth No-Gi are their own tracks, grouped by age, Ages 4+ and Ages 8+. They contain no submissions and no chokes.
Where do my instructors watch the lessons?
In the members' area, reached from the member login at the top of this site. The lessons live there, not on this website.
Can I see the curriculum before I join?
Yes. Open a free account and take the free courses. No card needed.
Do I have to change my schedule or my academy's name?
No. You keep your own schedule, your own pricing and your own academy name. If you want the Machado name on your academy, that comes with Official Academy status.
Does Master Carlos teach my students?
Not week to week. He teaches you, the owner, on the weekly live call. Your instructors teach your students from the curriculum.
Is there a yearly contract?
No. Every tier is month to month.
Stop planning classes the night before
Every month you wait is another month of building lessons alone. Join, and each month's Gi and No-Gi lessons are waiting when you log in.
