Why travel to learn from him
Master Carlos Machado is an 8th Degree Coral Belt with 55+ years on the mat. He's been teaching since 1981.
He's a 10x Brazilian national champion, a 2x Pan American champion, a 2x Masters World champion and an ADCC finalist. His black belts include Rafael Lovato Jr. and Travis Lutter.
A screen only gets you so far
You can learn a lot from a video.
At the Summit, you watch Master Carlos teach it in person. You meet owners who run the Machado Method curriculum, and you take what you learned back to your own mat.

- Seminars with Master Carlos. Member academies host him at their own school. Affiliate members get seminars at a discount, and Official Academies get priority.
- The weekly live call. Between events, members bring their questions to Master Carlos every week.
Questions owners ask
Do I have to be a member?
No. The Summit is open to schools outside the association. Members and non-members train side by side.
Does my ticket cover rank evaluation?
No. Evaluation is booked separately at testing.machadomethod.com and has its own fee.
Do members pay less?
Yes. Every tier includes discounted event entry. Official Academy includes two free adult entries to the Machado Method Summit.
